Welcome to your library subject page. This has been compiled to help you find information for your studies.

Accessing eResources

Use the sections below for links to journals, databases or eBooks related to your subject. The link to each resource also includes login information.

Databases and Journals

eResource Access Details
MASSOLIT
MASSOLIT provides short video lectures presented by academics from the world’s best universities (including Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, Harvard and Yale). These bite-sized lectures are grouped together to form courses which follow specification options or provide opportunities to extend subject knowledge. Currently access is provided to the English Language collection.
Within college click on the title of the resource and it will open in a new tab. There is no need to login to access the videos, but doing so will allow you to save partly completed courses and download videos to watch off line (see below for login details).
For access outside of college click on the title of the resource and then select the ‘Log in’ option. Your username will be your College email and the password will be your AQ number.
JSTOR
A digital library that gives you access to more than 10 million academic journal articles, books, and primary sources on a wide range of subjects.
Within college click on the title of the resource and it will open in a new tab.
For access outside of college click on the title of the resource and then click the link ‘Log in through your library’, which can be found at the top of the web page. In the box ‘Search by Institution Name’ type in ‘Aquinas’ and click the ‘Search’ button. In the list of institutions click the ‘Log in’ link next to ‘Aquinas Sixth Form College, UK’. Enter the login details you use when logging into the computers in college. Remember to add @aquinas.ac.uk to your username.
English Review
Written by leading academics, English Review will help you develop your knowledge of every text that you study. Includes relevant articles on a wide range of texts and genres, grade boosting advice and tailored online resources.
To access the English Review, for reasons of copyright, you may be asked to enter the username and password you use to access your college Google account. A web page will open in a new tab detailing how to access the resource.
EMagazine
If you are studying English, EMagazine is a great resource to keep up with the latest in your subject area. Read the full magazine online which includes interesting articles on current subjects.
To access the EMagazine, for reasons of copyright, you may be asked to enter the username and password you use to access your college Google account. A web page will open in a new tab detailing how to access the resource.
Pressreader
Digital access to thousands of local and global newspapers and magazines.
Access is provided via Stockport Libraries. (Guide on how to access Pressreader).


eBooks

Within college click on the title of the eBook and it will open in a new tab.
For access outside of college a login page will open in a new tab. Enter the login details you use when logging into the computers in college. Remember to add @aquinas.ac.uk to your username.
