Welcome to your library subject page. This has been compiled to help you find information for your studies.

Accessing eResources

Use the sections below for links to journals, databases or eBooks related to your subject. The link to each resource also includes login information.

Databases and Journals

eResource Access Details
JSTOR
A digital library that gives you access to more than 10 million academic journal articles, books, and primary sources on a wide range of subjects.
Within college click on the title of the resource and it will open in a new tab.
For access outside of college click on the title of the resource and then click the link ‘Log in through your library’, which can be found at the top of the web page. In the box ‘Search by Institution Name’ type in ‘Aquinas’ and click the ‘Search’ button. In the list of institutions click the ‘Log in’ link next to ‘Aquinas Sixth Form College, UK’. Enter the login details you use when logging into the computers in college. Remember to add @aquinas.ac.uk to your username.
Science Reference Center
A great one-stop source of information and includes a subject area for earth sciences. Provides useful articles on topics such as earth processes, earthquakes, environmental issues, rivers etc..
To log in enter the login details you use when logging into the computers in college. Remember to add @aquinas.ac.uk to your username. Select Science Reference Center from the list.
Issues Online
Includes a topic section on environmental and global issues which deals with climate change, water crisis, sustainability and lots more.
Within college click on the title of the resource and it will open in a new tab.
For access outside of college the link will open in a new tab. Use the ‘Shibboleth’ login by clicking on ‘go to the login area’. Type ‘Aquinas College’ in the box ‘Type the name of your organisation’ and click ‘Continue’. Enter the login details you use when logging into the computers in college. Remember to add @aquinas.ac.uk to your username.
Ecologist
The world’s leading environmental affairs magazine available online, publishes information on the environment, climate change, farming, energy, food, health etc.
This can be accessed as part of Science Reference Center using the login information outlined for that resource.

eResource Description
The Economist The Economist offers authoritative insight and opinion on international news, politics, business, finance, science and technology. Useful for development and globalisation.
Geography Review Leading geographers and examiners provide specially written case studies of recent events, grade boosting advice and additional online support.


eBooks

To access an eBook within college click on the title of the book and it will open in a new tab.
For access outside of college clicking on the title opens a login page. Enter the login details you use when logging into the computers in college. Remember to add @aquinas.ac.uk to your username.
