Welcome to your library subject page. This has been compiled to help you find information for your studies.

Accessing eResources

Use the sections below for links to journals, databases or eBooks related to your subject. The link to each resource also includes login information.

Databases and Journals

eResource Access Details
JSTOR
A digital library that gives you access to more than 10 million academic journal articles, books, and primary sources on a wide range of subjects.
Within college click on the title of the resource and it will open in a new tab.
For access outside of college click on the title of the resource and then click the link ‘Log in through your library’, which can be found at the top of the web page. In the box ‘Search by Institution Name’ type in ‘Aquinas’ and click the ‘Search’ button. In the list of institutions click the ‘Log in’ link next to ‘Aquinas Sixth Form College, UK’. Enter the login details you use when logging into the computers in college. Remember to add @aquinas.ac.uk to your username.
Science Reference Source
A great one-stop source of information on a range of science related subjects, including useful subjects such as life sciences. Find information on human biology, health, nutrition and diet and diseases.
To access Science Reference Source from within college (while logged into the College network) click on the title of the resource and it will open in a new tab.
For access outside of college click on the title of the resource to open a new tab. Use the box ‘Let’s find your institution’ and type in ‘Aquinas College’. Click on the name of the College in the list. You will then be asked to log in. Please enter the login details you use when logging into the computers in college. Remember to add @aquinas.ac.uk to your username. From the list of resources click on Science Reference Source.
Issues Online
Issues Online is a reference source addressing contemporary social issues. Easy to use, it is a perfect starting point for any research.
Within college click on the title of the resource and it will open in a new tab.
For access outside of college the link will open in a new tab. Use the ‘Shibboleth’ login by clicking on ‘go to the login area’. Type ‘Aquinas College’ in the box ‘Type the name of your organisation’ and click ‘Continue’. Enter the login details you use when logging into the computers in college. Remember to add @aquinas.ac.uk to your username.
PE Review
PE Review is a must read for anyone studying PE at A Level. Written by subject experts and examiners the magazine includes articles on key topics and issues so you can apply theory to the world of sport.
To access the magazine click on the title of the magazine to open the web page. Use the ’Sign In’ link in the navigation bar. Click the ’ Sign in with Google’ button. Use the same details that you use to log into your College Google account. The username is your College email address and the password is the one you use to log into your College Google account.


To access the resources below, for reasons of copyright, you may be asked to enter the username and password you use to access your college Google account. A web page will open in a new tab detailing how to access the resource.

eBooks

To access an eBook within college click on the title of the resource and it will open in a new tab.
For access outside of college a login page will open in a new tab. Enter the login details you use when logging into the computers in college. Remember to add @aquinas.ac.uk to your username.
