In October in the UK we celebrate, and reflect on the contribution black African and Caribbean people have made to British culture and society as a whole. America celebrates Black History in February. We have an interesting selection of new titles on display in the Learning Centre.
Science displays
If science interests you we have some very cool titles available in the Learning Centre. Check out our ‘Very short introduction to’ series, which includes Black holes, Sound and Mountains to name a few. We are also displaying ‘Introducing graphic guides’ with titles on Darwin and Newton.
Women’s Prize for Fiction 2019
We have a display celebrating women's writer's of fiction. Come and have a look at the winning titles of the Bailey's Women's prize for fiction!
Wainwright Book prize
We have a display of the winning titles for the Wainwright Prize Golden Beer Book Prize 2019. The books reflect Wainwright's love of nature and his core values.
