This is the second in the series featuring Jacob Thorne and Emma Kane, FBI profilers.

Women are disappearing, different types with different backgrounds. They all have no, or few friends, and family. Some have massive debts. Emma Kane thinks that someone is collecting them. She needs Jacob Thorne’s help but he is no longer talking to her.

As she gets closer to the truth and puts herself into a dangerous situation she reaches out to Jacob in the hope he will save her despite their falling out.

It’s a gritty book and very action packed.

Although he is a difficult character to like, I love the character of Jacob, he is strangely compelling.

These Todd Travis books are not overly long so are great to devour in one sitting.
